About Ho Chi Minh City

Formerly known to the world as Saigon, Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam's most active and exciting city; a place where contrast and diversity emanate from the vibrant, colourful streets. Recent development has seen Ho Chi Minh rapidly rise in the ranks of commerce and the new found opulence has created a fervent, energetic ambience that is fast paced and thrilling to encounter.

Ho Chi Minh deals visitors a lot of history and is rich in cultural heritage, the streets of the City are characterised by wide, leafy avenues and colonial style buildings which narrate the history of French occupation. Coupled with the modern uprising of tower blocks and malls, heavily interspersed with rustic markets and vendors crowding the streets, the scene in Ho Chi Minh is a myriad of colour and noise.

Away from the clamour of the raucous city centre, Ho Chi Minh holidays have many other fascinating avenues to explore. Its history of bloodshed and war is not so far past and there are a number of museums chronicling the horrifying events alongside buildings of historical significance. Ho Chi Minh also makes an excellent base for exploring the surrounding areas of Vietnams stunning tropical scenery.
